CIRCULAR TO PARISHIONERS        WEEK TWELVE               AUG 21, 2004

                          Fr. Beltran has returned.

We now hope to achieve communication, dialogue and reconciliation as promised.  In the bulletin of
August 1, 2004, Fr. Beltran says
“……While I am away, I wish for all of you to pray for genuine
reconciliation and peace in our Parish Community.  I will also pray to St. Martin of Tours to
intercede for us always; to help us to be more humble and sincere; and to guide us in working for
the common harmony and unity of our beloved community.”

We have prayed, and we continue to pray for genuine reconciliation and peace, for common
harmony and unity.
Our parish community is our family.  We all know that when a family has
difficulties, we should work to resolve them within that family in a spirit of Christian love.
“What
would Jesus do?”
is a good thing to ask ourselves when confronted with problems that need
solving.

This morning, Saturday 21st August,  Fr. Beltran celebrated Mass in our church.
In his preamble before reading the Gospel, he drew attention to the significance of the reading
(Matthew 23:1-12). “The scribes and the Pharisees sit on Moses’ seat; therefore, do whatever they
teach you and follow it; but do not do as they do, for they do not practice what they teach.” “The
greatest among you will be your servant. All who exalt themselves will be humbled, and all who
humble themselves will be exalted.”
