CIRCULAR TO PARISHIONERS        WEEK 8        Jul 24, 2004

Several people from our parish have had meetings with Bishop Boissonneau before he left on
vacation last week, and they are enthusiastically expecting a quick resolution to the present
impasse in the parish, and the early establishment of our Parish Council.  It is the Bishop’s duty to
guide us wisely, and it is our duty to give him reverence.
Above all else, we must pray and work
for WHAT IS RIGHT.

“Cast your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you.”
Pray constantly for an end to this impasse and the beginning of renewal. We hope that, with the
bishop’s help, our Parish Council will soon be established to begin and sustain the renewal.

In answer to your questions about BIRTHRIGHT: it is still a vibrant and worthwhile organization
serving the greater Mississauga area, and continues to provide an essential service to our
community.  To contact Birthright’s local office phone (905) 273-9409.

You may also have noticed that our CHOIR has been silenced in the past few weeks and
the organ has been padlocked. Our choir is alive and well, and still accepting new members.  It
continues to rehearse every week in anticipation of a return to Sunday worship.

The exiled Bell Choir will be making guest appearances at neighbouring churches until
reinstatement in our home parish.

One other item of choir news –
Catholic Missions in Canada welcomed St. Martin of Tours
Choir into the Legacy Circle
on July 9, 2004.  In his letter to Mr. Fergus Egan, Fr. Sebastien
Groleau, President of Catholic Missions In Canada wrote “As members of our Legacy Circle, please
accept this certificate recognizing your contribution to proclaim the gospel of Our Lord, throughout
our mission diocese of Canada.”  Mr. Egan, in his acceptance, remarked that although the choir
contributed music and song, the financial contribution came from the good people of St. Martin of
Tours. He asked that they, the parishioners, be acknowledged and thanked for their generosity and
support.

Please continue to pray for resolution!
