God, our creator!
You who made the ear, hear us.
You who made the eye and heart,
see our sorrow.
You who know and love us all
we trust in You;
guide us on our path.

Help us seek Truth
when the way is dark.
Help us seek love
when the fire is cold.
Help us seek justice
though threatened and weak.
For our worth is not in the winning,
but in the seeking
of Truth and love and justice.
Then we are like Your Son
Who sought "justice and mercy and faith" -
He Who redeemed the world
By His obedience to You.

Amen

_______________________________________________________

Lord of all creation, we praise your works.

Your majesty is displayed for us throughout Your universe,
From the unfathomable complexity and breadth of the
cosmos to the unfathomable complexity of a butterfly .

How is it that a tiny seed produces a dynamic complexity
so that we marvel at its beauty and, in awe, we
are privileged to so witness the work of Your hand?

You have told us that we are of great value to You;
by Your death, You demonstrated this value.
Although we sigh in our souls, our spirit reminds us that
You are ever present.
Without Your sustaining hand, all things would cease to exist.

Lord, our minds are often consumed by petty matters
which, compared to Your immense concern for all the
souls of your Creation, must seem as grains of sand.

Help us, Lord, to see.
